Please mark your calendars for a special event celebrating West African authors at the North Miami Public Library, 835 NE 132 Street. The evening time event will start at 6:00 pm and be catered by North Miami’s own Nigerian restaurant, Moji’s African. You’ll be able to check out brand new titles written by writers based abroad in Africa. We’ll even have new e-books! The whole event is absolutely FREE.
Following the event, our North Miami Little Libraries, which are spread across the city, will be redecorated and stocked with West African books.
The event is just one of a year-long series of events I’ve organized celebrating a trip to six nations in West African that a city & county delegation took in 2023. I was so taken with what I saw there that I wanted to bring a taste of it back for all our friends and neighbors to enjoy.
